‘Men killing themselves isn’t a man’s problem’

The above is a quote from an article written by some feminist in a news outlet.

And my response to said quote is: Yes it absolutely is a man’s problem and you do not know what you’re talking about because you are a woman. At the very least your name and face look like a woman although I’ve seen more attractive ones. And less attractive ones.

So.

Let me elaborate a little further.

In my Unhallowed Homeland of Norway there is currently a public discourse going on that’s actually a bit healthy.

Oh and btw. I’ll do my best not get too political with this piece, but I will have to touch on some of that stuff. Such is the game we are playing. You cannot simply avoid politics. And you know, the more I think about it, the more I am tempted to go a little political now and then. Politics is a large part of our society whether we like it or not. And politics absolutely involves sales and energy.

So yes, I’ll get to the sales and energy part really fast.

But.

Back to the public discourse.

The discourse is about the challenges that men are facing. How 3/4 of everyone committing suicide are men, how young boys oftentimes feel lost at a school which is mainly oriented towards the behavior of girls, how most high school drop outs are men, how most drug abusers and criminals are men, etc.

So far so good.

These areimportant issues that need to be brought to light.

The bad news?

The so-called ‘men’s group’ or whatever name they’re giving themselves, which by the way devised and wrote a report on the status of the man in 2024…

…are a mix between men and women.

It’s like me going around telling women how we should respect other women when they’re ovulating and having their monthly period, because it’s so hard to be a woman when biology ticks in.

Oh, and add to that how I and another men should absolutely be able to conduct research on how birth works on a woman’s body and how giving birth must feel and therefore we are more than qualified to have an opinion on this kind of thing and…

…are you seeing the madness, the dumbassery and the nonsense yet?

How in the world are women equipped to have a say what it means to be a man?

Do they have a dick and two balls with lots of testosterone?

Although testosterone levels have been declining so much and young kids growing up these days don’t know if they’re a boy or a girl anymore [half joking].

Anyway.

How are men equipped to lecture other women how it feels to menstruate and give birth?

Is this the way to make a sale to your customers and clients by pretending you know when you don’t know?

Of course I’m not sold on this dumb ass ‘men’s group’.

I had some hope initially when I first heard about the project. It seemed like something that was actually worth following or at the very least paying attention to. But when a man’s group which discusses issues that other men are falling victim to invite other women to partake?

What are men going to talk and break down what it feels like to be raped, as a woman, by other men?

The writing’s on the wall already.

It’s a masterclass in how to fail at all things related to sales. Because you didn’t take into account your customer group and their needs. If you stop listening to your market and don’t care about what they’re telling you, you’re not going to make a lot of sales, stupid.

Although this men’s group ain’t exactly running a hardware store here, the same principle applies.

They failed to listen to their market’s needs and now hardly anybody cares about them anymore.

They can use all their energy to shout, vent and moan all they like.

But if they haven’t gotten their market’s needs right and they don’t have viable and credible product or service to sell, things are looking grim.

After all sales is about finding out what people want and then giving it to them.

It’s that simple. And that hard.

And in the same spirit, I have something else to offer you with respect to sales and energy. You see, sales and energy are linked. They can be combined. Used together. One amplifies the other.

And I like to think that energy is a vehicle for sales.

In other words, all the energy you have is what makes you sell more.

Crazy Violent CHAZ-style student tent camps

I’ll try to be as straightforward as I can right here, although that’s hardly my style.

Lately there have been student tent camps and protests spread across a lot of universities in the US. Some of them, I guess, have been peaceful. Others, like at the Columbus University in NYC and UCLA in California have been a little less peaceful and kind of reminds me a little bit about what goes on in Gaza.

So if students are protesting against what they feel is an unjust war and calls for the boycott of academia because a lot of universities collaborate with some Israeli counterparts,

But then end up making the student campus a warzone itself,

Then how productive are these protests?

You already know the answer yourself.

In many ways this reminds me of the whole CHAZ movement which took place in Seattle a couple of years ago.

If you don’t know what that was, it was an unlawful occupation of some land near the Capitol Hill in Seattle where protesters erected tents, blocked out a block or a piece of land near a block and sort of built their own autonomous zone.

I obviously didn’t go there, but I heard from people it go so bad eventually that people had to pee and take a dump in buckets, throwing excrements around the place, there was no food and it looked pretty bad.

Like another warzone.

And this is in many ways my point here.

Most, if not all of the time when there is some sort of protest or manifestation for ending whatever war or unjust occupation of some land in another country, those movements themselves lead to an unjust occupation of some land back home.

I defy you to take a look around and not come to the same conclusion.

And it is always the usual suspects who are in charge of what goes on.

A couple of the protesters are probably peaceful and well meaning. But they end up attracting the wrong sort of people who are only looking for trouble, look to cause mischief and mayhem and who wants destabilization and violence.

‘Those who do not understand the lessons from History are doomed to repeat it’ is most fitting here.

Although I actually do believe that that slogan isn’t correct.

Someone once told me that wasn’t the slogan and that history does not necessarily repeat itself.

But in this case I’ll take my chances and say it will.

So with respect to Sales and Energy, let’s take a look.

Do you think these violent protesters sell anyone on anything by actively using their energy to express their own emotions, anger and rage?

Of course they don’t.

All they do is cause mayhem for a couple of days before police has to use brute force and walk inside on the various student campuses and arrest students. It’s a pretty sad sight. But also a valuable lesson. Because if you want to sell someone on something, why on earth are you talking about yourself and your opinion?

‘A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still’ is an excerpt from a famous book called ‘How To Win Friends And Influence People’ by ‘Dale Carnegie’.

Do you really think these universities and other academic institutions really care about the opinion of a couple of violent and outrageous sheep?

Sure they might suspend their collaboration for about a month or so to wait for tempers to cool.

And then start working on them again. This is how this game is played. It’s all about money, power, influence and who gets the best deal. And these student protesters are naught but useful idiots for the other side. At best they work like an indication for how far any collaboration can go before it needs to stop for a limited time.

So.

Bottom line is: If you want to sell these universities on suspending their collaboration with their Israeli counterparts, you need to offer them a better alternative.

Otherwise why would they really care?

This is how sales and energy work.

If you want someone to stop doing something, offer them a better alternative instead.

I doubt these protesters can do that.

What I also doubt is if these protesters are using their energy in a correct way. All I see is screaming, shouting, violence, blockades and so on. No real usage of influence, persuasion, charisma and aura.

Because if you combine these attributes in your energy together with your sales skills you become a nearly unstoppable force.

And this sort of Energy is something that you can learn by yourself. There are so many ways in which you can combine Sales and Energy to become a nearly unstoppable force. It actually reminds me of what the late Joe Girard once said about his philosophy for dealing with potential customers; ‘I like you, I like you, I like you’ in a completely kind and honest way.

I’m not telling you to say these words to other people.

But I *AM* telling you to adapt this philosophy in your life and using to sell more of whatever you’re doing.

I do not necessarily talk about this in my little pamphlet which I’ll give to you for free.

But I do talk about combining sales and Energy so that you become a nearly unstoppable force.

Like Joe Girard was when it came to selling cars.

‘O Green World…’

This is the start of a song I like by ‘Gorillaz’.

I’m not sure if this band is still around. Maybe they are. I doubt they do any performances though I might be mistaken. I don’t know. What I do know is that I very much loved the music style they used to have in some of their first albums. Then later on they switched things around and now they’re kind of weird…even for my musical taste.

But, back to the title of the song.

This reminds me of the current landscape and the things that go on in nature nowadays.

That is in my unhallowed homeland of Norway.

You see, spring is really hitting us. Lawns are turning from grey-brownish to green. The trees go from being all naked into bearing lots and lots of leaves.

All of a sudden the naked and oftentimes lifeless landscape is turning into a lush, evergreen environment.

And I am constantly being reminded about how green everything is.

If you ride an airplane and you see the landscape from above, it looks like nothing but rocks and mountains. No large fields, meadows or anything.

But they are there.

Y’just need to get down on the ground and look for yourself.

In many ways this lush landscape represents all the potential energy that is innate in other people and also what happens when you spend time around other people who elevate you and your energy up.

I have this happening to me now routinely wherever I go.

This is not an accident.

It’s something that I’ve been working on for the past 5 years or so. And now I seem to be able to perform it way better than what I used to do way back in the past.

I’ll tell that whole story later, but the story is reserved for someone knowing me and meeting me in the flesh. It’s not everything I can share in an email. But I will say this: People are always looking for an opportunity to smile and laugh and just have some fun. So, give it to them. And if they ain’t in the mood or their egos are too big so they can’t or won’t lower their shields preventing them for partaking in any sort of conversation or laugh, why in the world do you spend your time around such people?

Why do you de-value your own time and your own company?

Such boring people who do not even want to be lifted up are like the naked trees you can see during spring.

Lifeless, dull and boring.

Sure, they have potential and you can always start working on getting the potential out of them to make a sale.

But when the sun starts coming around and all the other trees in a forest start turning green and there’s one tree that doesn’t, it usually tells you that tree is infested with a fungus or some sort of disease and might rot slowly to death.

You don’t eat a half rotten apple with worms in it, do you?

I know I don’t.

So whilst I’m not comparing dull people to worms [or maybe I am], one of the recipes of always being in a good mood is that I surround myself with people who are in a similar mood.

And if I notice some rot going on, I simply walk away.

I don’t know about you, but I prefer the lush, beautiful, green and verdant nature where trees are filled with leaves, I can hear the birds singing and the meadows are petal and flower infested.

I’m sure you do the same thing.

And speaking of sales, making money and so on, do you really think you will sell a lot to people who are moody, cranky and who aren’t even going to entertain the thought of buying?

After all, in my experience, sales is about giving them the opportunity to invest in themselves.

Not forcing their hard earned money out of their pockets.

Selling The Energy First

I recently wrote the following on Twitter: 

Can you #sell people on appreciating Your Company and therefore also your #Energy? Can you use that skill to make them realize how they need or should have what product or service you’re #selling?Keep in mind, they want to buy ‘you’.

This Goes much deeper than you think. 

When you make a purchase you oftentimes buy from The person. Even on a minuscule level. I once needed a frying pan and just dropped by some random store. The saleslady greeted me, listened to my needs, didn’t try to upsell me on anything Else, Even asked me questions like where I was from, what I was doing in town, etc. All in all, she made purchasing such a mundane and small thing as a frying pan a pleasant experience. 

You can probably guess where I’m going next time I need some kitchen appliances. 

Because, this lady sold me on her and her character. 

And, truth to be told, the next time I go there, if she attempts to upsell me on something, I probably am going to buy it.

Why?

Because I want to help her. 

Likewise, I’ve previously written about two of The churches I frequent and how they, when it’s time for asking for donations, have two very different ways about doing so.

I’ll briefly go through it again. 

One is straight to The point, telling it like it is, saying that they need donations to keep their lights on, paying their bills, serving coffee, doing missionary work, etc. 

The other uses very sophisticated, invasive and uncanny reverse psychology by quoting Bible verses that Are completely taken out of context, arguing that giving is something everyone ‘must do’ and really do everything they can to make you feel like a worthless piece of rotten fruit with worms in it if you do not give. 

It is about as tempting as licking the inside of a toilet Bowl after Butterbean has taken his morning dump. 

So you can probably guess which church I donate to The most. 

For some reason The people, The vibe, the Culture and the entire atmosphere is just much better in The first church. 

People Are more welcoming, appreciative and open to getting to know you. 

Could there perhaps be a difference? 

Anyway. 

If you make people Like you, you have a much higher likelihood of making them appreciate your company. 

I’ve had several instances happen to me where important people reach out to me in the aftermath and compliment me for my mood and positive Energy. 

Bosses, networking and potential business associates, etc. 

Of Course that doesn’t mean that I make more Money right there, right then. 

But it does mean I plant the seeds for making more Money from them in the future.

Because they’ll remember me. 

And they’ll spread the Word.

I am building ‘an Army’ in that regard. 

And it has made my monetary and financial status very stronger than what it would have been if I hadn’t started by planting the seeds and focused on The relationship, the vibe and The Energy Exchange first. 

Energy really is the vehicle of Sales.

A-Star Celebrity 7 Figure Court Case, Pedophile Killers, More

So.

I did a little video about this topic yesterday and I’d like to expand on it a little in this email. Initially I thought about using the names of the involved parties but then realized that was really just for the sake of grifting and getting a little bit more attention. Which I’m really not about. I’m more about conveying the actual lessons learned in the events which transpired.

So, simply put.

Two Hollywood A-star celebrities, very famous, sue each other over various things.

For the sake of simplicity I’m going to refer to them as 1 and 2.

First, just to make things clear: The following is my subjective and non-expert view on what took place and you definitely should do your own research before taking what I say as the actual truth.

Anyway, so here we go;

1 sues 2 over defamation.

2 sues 1 over sexual assault and abuse, violence, threats, battery and probably a whole lot more.

They go to trial and because of the massive attention this case gets, and because filming a court case is allowed in the location in the country where they’re currently residing, practically the whole world is able to see what takes place.

I believe even today you can find pretty much the whole trial on YouTube since everything is public.

But, let’s get into the nitty gritty of what transpired inside the courthouse.

Here’s how I view any court case.

You take the stand and probably have to take an oath where you promise to not lie and so on. You then need to sell your case to the jury, who then decides whether you are guilty or not.

Because, if you think about, a court case is a sale, and perhaps the most important sale you’ll ever make.

It can have serious consequences for you if you do not make this sale properly.

I’ll quickly interject with a different case where that had serious consequences.

Two innocent girls age 8 and 10 were brutally raped and killed some 20 years ago. Two young men were shortly after arrested and charged with the rape and murder of these two girls.

The man known as the ‘main culpit’ and what media and the prosecution portrayed as the ‘brains behind this horrible act’ had to serve 20 years in prison even though he was later found innocent and couldn’t possibly be connected to the killings at all.

All because the prosecution, the police, the society wanted revenge and justice for what happened, and I assume this fella really didn’t know how to sell his case that well in court.

I’m not saying his lack of sales and energy skills was the entire reason why he was jailed innocently, but I do believe it played a major role. If you see and hear him talk he sounds a little shabby, to say the least.

Anyway.

Point being that since there is a human factor involved, depending on the court case, your sales and energy skills matter, and in this case, I do believe they played a major role in getting an innocent man convicted for a crime he didn’t commit.

Especially since lawyers, jurors, judges and police are just humans.

There are even stories about how police in my country of Norway would celebrate with a cake every time they got someone to confess.

Some food for thought about what the kind of people you’re dealing with in a courthouse.

And why your sales and energy skills matter a lot.

Actually now that I think about it, there was another court case where some deranged looking guy who fit the profile of a a dodgy rapist and killer was found not guilty for yet another murder, even though the police and the prosecution were so sure about him being guilty.

The judge panel exonerating the guy even harshly criticized the police and the prosecution for being in a state of ‘confirmation bias’.

And, with all the ongoing lawsuits against Donald J. Trump, there are flawed human beings in those courtrooms as well.

Just some food for thought.

Anyway.

That was a long, but necessary derailment.

Back to our A-star celebrity court case.

1 when they entered the stand appeared humble, authentic, almost coming from a place of wanting to solve this entire matter with the best possible outcome for everyone, but they were still standing their ground.

2 appeared fake, cringy, almost desperate for attention and during several instances when they appeared to cry, they would clench their teeth and almost look angry. It appeared like they were forcing themselves to cry. All to put on an act.

In the end, guess who the jury, who’s also a group of ordinary human beings believed?

You can probably guess it.

1 of course.

Now I’m going to assume that 1 was innocent and had a case for themselves whereas 2 did not.

But the energy and the way that 1 was able to sell their case to the jury, and the lack of authenticity and human touch from 2 was telling, to say the least.

I’m pretty sure it had something to do with the outcome of the sentence.

In the end, after the court case and a subsequent settlement, 2 had to pay 1 a 7 figure amount.

Energy and Sales are always linked together and play a major part in how you come across. Likable, unlikable, lukewarm, whatever. If you’re able to sell other people on you and your case that could mean the difference between a life in freedom or a life behind bars. Providing you are innocent or guilty, of course.

Anyway.

Gen Z and their failure to make sales

Have you looked around and seen just how dumb and lost a lot of people today are?

Do you think they’ll make a lot of sales? If any at all?

I don’t think so.

I think they’re in for a rude awakening.

And especially in terms of making the most important sales there ever has been. Namely the sale which is the most important one in their lives. Finding someone else who loves them and who wants to make babies with them. I’ll die on that hill, in fact. Sure, making money and building an exclusive network is good and you need that, too. But in the long run you need people around you.

I’ve used this scene as an example before, but it never hurts to retell it in this context.

In the series Sopranos, the character Paulie, in one of the last episodes walks into his mom’s house late at night and asks, ‘Hey ma, whadda watchin’?’ with his real, thick Nu Yawk accent. Paulie is probably in his 60s and his mom is probably in her upper 80s. In other words, she doesn’t have many years left to live. And his mother is the only family that Paulie has. He didn’t procreate so that he could get children.

That whole scene is just so sad.

And truth to be told, I’ve used that scene as a way to force myself to build my family because I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t do it.

The most important sale.

The sale that so many people choose to disregard, put on hold and never take seriously because it’s much cooler to flash with all the riches they have.

Just to hammer it down one more time, I remember some mother of three kids making an appearance at a dating show.

The whole show was about talking to various girls and women in their different stages of their lives. The up and coming career hottie, the early 40s single woman, the married family mother and so on. Pretty interesting, if I must say so.

Anyway, another line which stuck with me after hearing what the mother said when she introduced herself to the rest of the panel;

‘I have three kids and they’re my biggest win!’

You can’t make this up.

More, at the time of writing you have all of these ugly blue-haired fat feminists, both male and female by the way who go around preaching nonsense about some ‘stigmatized’or ‘oppressed’ group in society whilst half of them not even knowing what they’re there for. I’ve seen multiple clips of these young kids at the various rallies, be either a Pro-Palestine Rally, a Pride Rally, a [insert name of oppressed group] rally, being interviewed and half of them don’t even know what they’re there for.

Talk about not making the sale at all, right?

Yet these lost kids are using their energy to protest or vent about something they do not even understand.

Now whilst that is hilarious in and of itself, it doesn’t exactly help these people get closer to making the most important sale in their lives.

Or would you even think of entering a relationship with such people?

I think we all know the answer to that.

Actually at this point I might have to drink some kool-aid and admit I was wrong.

Because I saw this climate change activist loser dork brag about how it was in his plans to show the sentence, the papers from court, to his future son, to inspire his son to do the same sort of illegal demonstrations and vandalism that he’d been sentenced for.

The bloke was literally wearing the sentence papers around as a badge of honor.

Which reminds me of a piece I saw in the paper another day, written by some up and coming political commentator in his 20s [that should also get the alarm bells ringing, what 20 year old can comment on politics based on his ‘life experience’?].

I didn’t read the whole piece.

But it basically said something about how his generation, Gen Z, the Zoomers, are becoming generation childless.

Because it is that hard to find a good woman who’ll bear forth his child. Housing costs are rising and inflation is eating up their wallet.

The latter point about the finances I completely agree with him on.

Which is all the more reason why you should learn to sell more.

Whether that means selling cell phones for a commission to make more money, sell yourself to a hot girl with whom you’d like to settle down, or perhaps both.

In order to do so you need Energy.

How to water down your own sales and money flow

The easiest way, in my opinion, is trying to sound like everyone else.

And if you want to know how that looks, simply go to any social media and watch how literally everyone is trying to sound and look like each other. And I’m not just talking about posing with the same kind of cars or smoking a cigar. That’s the easy part. Any of the broke losers can rent a Lambo for a day and barely make the gasoline and insurance costs. Not to mention the exquisite restaurants, places and their fancy clothes.

As I said, that’s the easy part.

But these people are so hollow and empty-brained they cannot even think for themselves and keep repeating all the talking points.

It’s so easy to spot.

I’ve said it before and I might as well say it again, I’m not going to drop any names just to grift off of them because that’s not who I am as a character, and that’s not how I’m building my brand of sounding different.

Because, and now I’m getting into my point here, you should do your best to just sound different.

Be special and unique.

Approach what you’re doing with a special twist.

I for example, use Energy to sell and to make people understand how important Energy is for selling. And I’m not just talking about physical energy which means you need to get up in the morning and hustle to keep the lights on. The factory workers need to actually put in physical labor to produce merchandise that the manufacturer can sell for a profit.

I’m also talking about the Energy Culture and how important it is being around people who elevate and lift each other up.

The late Joe Girard said the same thing.

He said he avoided negative people.

Didn’t want to be around them.

Walked away from them.

He didn’t say precisely why, but everyone can understand why. Because negative people bring your energy down and potentially ruin your sales mood.

He also said something very, very insightful, and keep in mind, this is from an interview he did in 2013, 11 years ago. He said he didn’t read the news, the papers, watch television or any of that sort.

Why?

Because it’s all negative and it all ruins his mood [my words, not his, but I assume that’s what he meant].

Don’t you see yet how Energy really is the vehicle for making more sales?

Do you sell people on your company better if you’re energetic, positive and happy, instead of boring?

Will you probably get laid more if you’ve got good vibes and you do display creepy, low energy stalker attitude?

Will you make more money from sales if you have high energy so that you can work more, outwork your competition and therefore have more stuff to sell them?

The whole concept is pretty simple.

If you want to get rich across the board, there is no reason for you not to get your energy up. It all starts with you being a high energy person, knowing how to connect with other people.

And this Energy Part reminds me a lot of about what I touch upon in my tiny little pamphlet which I’ve written and which I’d love to give away to you for free, if you’d like it.

I’m not going to reveal a whole lot of what it is all about, other than giving you some examples of how to combine sales and energy across what it is that you’re doing in life.

Keep in mind that getting rich is about more than making money.

Tell more stories

Basically the simplest of instructions, yet a thing that so many people fail to do.

I’ll give you an example.

One day as I was preparing for a dive at a new site, I felt slightly nervous.

For some reason I felt like I didn’t want to dive that day. But I’d decided that I was gonna go there, no matter what.

I got there, assembled my equipment, jumped into the water and went down.

What I hadn’t expected was that there was a pretty strong current underwater.

I was swimming and desperately trying to fight the current’s pulling force, all for nothing.

‘It’s all good’, I thought, ‘the current is going to pull me a little bit away from the shoreline, so I can swim back comfortably.’

Little did I know that wasn’t the case.

See, the current actually started to pull me upwards towards the surface.

Anybody who’s been diving before knows that you’re not supposed to rapidly ascend to the surface.

It’s dangerous. You could get nitrogen bubbles in your blood. You could get the bends!

Yet this is precisely what happened.

I couldn’t do anything.

I was mercilessly pulled towards the surface, afraid and scared and I couldn’t do anything.

The moment I broke the water surface I looked around and I saw a huge boat headed my way…’

I’ll just stop right there.

This is how I tell stories about things that happen in my life. They need to be somewhat dramatic and contain an element of surprise, fear and also being able to connect with the listeners on a human level.

And yes, in case you’re wondering, that thing actually happened.

Furthermore I and my diving buddy managed to swim to the shoreline and steer clear from the large boat. If we hadn’t, we’d probably been toast and I wouldn’t have been here today writing you this important lesson that I learned.

Namely.

Do not swim or dive anywhere near where there are large boats because you are literally risking your life.

But if I’d told you the same story about how I once almost got caught in the meat grinder that is the boat’s large propellers, it wouldn’t have sounded so cool or so captivating.

And that’s what you need to do in order to sell more.

Of course that doesn’t mean lying or coming up with things. Not only is that not cool, it’s also most unwise and will eventually backfire on you one day.

So make sure you actually tell the truth.

But there’s nothing wrong with amping it up a notch, making everything more captivating and engaging.

After all, people need to laugh.

They need to feel that they’re part of something.

They need that energy to buy into you.

Whatever it is that you’re selling.

If you’re on a date with a hot girl and you have nothing to talk about, then what’s the point of you even being there? Do you expect to get laid if all your ‘stories’ are about you playing some goddamn video game? What about building business relationships? Is all you can do brag about your riches and your accomplishments? You don’t want to get to know the other person?

And yes, you can apply this to any kind of aspect in life.

Basically you need to become a likable person and have fun things to do in your life.

Otherwise nobody wants to be around you and you’re certainly not being energetic.

Keep in mind how sales are best made by displaying energy and a unique story to tell.

And if you’re not into diving, I’m sure you’re into something.

If you’re not even into something than make sure to actually start getting yourself a hobby or go on a crazy trip.

Just do something so you have a story to tell.

It ain’t that hard.

All it takes is for you is to want it.

Which reminds me of how Energy works when it comes to sales. You need to want the energy and you need to pursue getting Energy as well. Otherwise you’ll be hard pressed to make even the easiest of sales.

In fact, I want to help you in this regard.

You see I actually wrote a little pamphlet which shows you various scenarios of you selling and how you can apply these scenarios in your life using energy.

I think you’ll agree that you’ll be hard pressed to make a sale without using at the very least **some** Energy.

The Secret N-Word to Energize People Around You

When I think back, everyone around me who made me energized behaved in a certain way.

And I’m sure you have experience the same thing if you think about it. Most people who make you feel well in their company and who lift up your energy do display the qualities of this very important, and very basic N-word. In fact, I’d argue that most people who do not display it, aren’t worth your time.

I’ll tell you a little story about two sergeants with whom I had to deal with in the military.

One of them displayed all the qualities of this important N-word.

The other, not so much.

And it is the other guy I want to talk about today. Let’s just call him Jack. Obviously not his real name. Jack was one year older than I was when I first joined the military at age 19. So a whopping 20 years old wannabe tough guy who always walked around with a firm look in his eyes and pretty much did everything he could to yell and bark orders into our faces.

Meanwhile Chad, the other sergeant was the polar opposite.

Sure he gave us orders, but that was in a respectful yet authoritarian manner, since he was, you know, our boss.

But that didn’t matter because of the way he behaved, I, and the other soldiers wanted to carry out his orders.

With Jack, not so much.

It was mostly done with resentfulness and bitterness and us privates were always moaning over Jack’s sour and grumpy face.

I actually remember a room inspection featuring Jack once.

Actually it was an inspection of the toilets.

I do not exactly remember, but I believe we were several people who had washed the toilets before inspection. I was given the very unpleasant task of reporting to Jack the sergeant. And of course Jack did everything in his power to find some sort of stain, pubic hair or whatever shit [both literally and figuratively] so that he could disapprove of the toilet wash.

I don’t remember exactly what he found, but it was a minor thing.

The conversation went a little like this:

Jack: ‘What the Hell is this?’

Me: ‘Sir, I don’t know, it’s just a little hair, but I don’t know where you possibly could find that because…

Jack: ‘ARE YOU QUESTIONING THE WAY I CONDUCT MY INSPECTION, SOLDIER?!’

….

I don’t exactly recall what happened next, but I do believe we had to wash the toilets all over again.

Now I don’t mind being pushed a little as long as it comes from a place of tough love and that whole schtick. The typical military model, at least as far as I can tell, is to break people down and then build them up again using everything you’re taught in the military. Which is fine, I can respect that.

What I cannot respect is what Jack did which was just attempting to break us all down without the reconstruction and the building up again.

Which is why he failed immensely as a sergeant.

And because most of us soldiers started making fun of him behind his back whilst we had respect and admiration for Chad.

So anyway, what is my point with this little shit story?

Simply to point out how Jack failed at being NICE.

Whilst Chad [and most of the other sergeants] understood how to do so.

See, when you’re nice, you actually make people energized and you make people want to buy what you’re selling. When Chad ‘sold us’ on doing a certain task and assignment, we did it right away without questioning.

And even though the assignment perhaps felt boring, we still did it with dedication.

Because Chad told us to.

When Jack attempted to sell us on doing the same stuff.

Not so much.

All of Jack’s instructions were met with resentment, bitterness, scorn and behind-the-back-mockery.

And that’s the sales and energy lesson right here.

When you make people like you, from an honest standpoint, your chances of making the sale and therefore making more money increase vastly.

So already today, make sure that people like you for who you are.

They’ll come back to purchase and buy more of what you sell because of you.

Keep that in mind.

And in order to make people energized and appreciate your company, you need to be bursting and jostling with Energy yourself.

Bonus points if you know how to combine energy with sales and how to utilize that energy across various sales scenarios in your life. Whether that is selling cars to people, selling a hot girl ‘on you’, job negotiation scenarios and much, much more, it all comes down to how you’re applying the energy and transferring it to other people.

‘Throw the iPads on the floor and step on them!’

That’s roughly what the late Joe Girard said in an interview I recently listened to.

I heard about Joe Girard via Ben Settle and am immensely grateful for that.

Anyway.

If you do not know who Joe was, he held the world record for the most cars sold. I think he sold 13,001 cars during his entire career. That achievement is in the Guinness World Record Book and I believe Joe still holds that career to this very day, albeit posthumously. Joe also held the record for the most cars sold during one year. I believe that was 1,478 or so cars. Not sure. Again, google and verify on your own.

But what’s more interesting with Joe was how he put emphasis on how he lead with love.

And how he always told his prospects ‘I like you’.

Actually, when you’re done reading this, go listen to one of the many interviews he gave. Listen to the warmth, the understanding, the love and the passion in his voice.

Yeah I know that’s kind of cringe, but that’s actually what was going on.

Because Joe understood that in order to make people like him, he had to show them first how much he liked them.

Joe would send Christmas cards every single year to all of his customers. Even before he made a lot of money.

He would have a bar in his office, and when a potential customer wasn’t completely sold yet and needed to take a drink, Joe would pour him his drink, then pour himself a glass of colored water since he didn’t drink and they’d talk things over.

Anything the customer wanted, he had in his office.

‘You ain’t getting away from me. I like you, I like you, I like you’, he said over and over again in the interview I was listening to.

It’s almost scary how he made me like him, and that’s being completely honest. This is not me pretending or fake liking anything.

Why?

Joe simply made me trust him and feel comfortable in his prescence with his warmth and that’s all I really need.

Think about that.

Do you think an iPad containing all the specifics, with high resolution graphics and instant access to all sorts of information people do not really care about can compete with what Joe had?

Of course it can’t.

Btw. that interview was conducted in 2013.

Nowadays I bet most salesmen are even too lazy to use their iPads and instead produce their iPhones and pretend like they halfway care about the prospect.

I’m telling you Joe knew precisely how to connect with the customers.

So much so he didn’t even care whether he got the names of the iPad producers right. He would refer to these devices as ‘the apples, the oranges, you know what, you just gotta put these things aside.’

And then Joe would go on and say how you should put them on the floor and step on them.

Anyway, what is the lesson here?

The lesson is of course that the warmth, the understanding, the love, the compassion that Joe showed for his customers is what I call Energy, which is the ever flowing motivating force which makes people being attracted to your company.

I’m not sure how much money Joe Girard make, but I think it’s safe to say he cashed out.

So why can’t you do the same thing?

Why can’t you use Energy in your line of field to make more money, sell more and become more successful?

Why can’t you do a deep dive into human emotion and understand what people really want and how to make them want to pay you?
